Stocking up on our Vitamin D!
A Chilling Article
Please take time to read this article above. It was written by a woman who was born and raised in Soviet Russia, and immigrated to America in 1980. This is an editorial she wrote as a warning to all free citizens of the U.S.
I just finished reading "East Wind", the autobiography of Maria Zeitner Linke, about her life growing up under the heavy hand of Russian communism. In addition to having her parents snatched away periodically for state service (once taking her mother for 6 long months to dig ditches, leaving her as a 9-10 year old child to care for her 2 young sisters, one of whom was only 4 months old; the baby died before her mother returned), having her father's factory confiscated for the state, relocated so many times it was hard to keep count, having her beloved brother kidnapped for service in the Red Army (they never saw him again)....as if this wasn't bad enough, she also spent 9 years in Stalin's Gulags. I've studied a lot about Hitler and the Holocaust, but this book truly opened my eyes to the evils of Communism. I believe there are few people who realize how many millions of people have died at its cruel hand. Stalin, alone, is estimated to have murdered more than 20 million of his own people (this is the conservative number! no one truly knows but the Lord).
With this book so fresh in my mind, reading the article linked above just sends chills up my spine. How did America come to this on our watch? With a marvelous, ingenius Constitution that has a remarkable Bill of Rights attached to it....how? Who would want to trade the privileges and freedoms that we enjoy for the death and tears that ALWAYS accompany communism? IF YOU WANT SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE, MOVE TO CUBA! But don't come in and highjack our country!

The Decline of the Presidents
O eternal and everlasting God, I presume to present myself this morning before thy Divine majesty, beseeching thee to accept of my humble and hearty thanks, that it hath pleased thy great goodness to keep and preserve me the night past from all the dangers poor mortals are subject to, and has given me sweet and pleasant sleep, whereby I find my body refreshed and comforted for performing the duties of this day, in which I beseech thee to defend me from all perils of body and soul. Direct my thoughts, words and work, wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the Lamb, and purge my heart by thy Holy Spirit, from the dross of my natural corruption, that I may with more freedom of mind and liberty of will serve thee, the ever lasting God, in righteousness and holiness this day, and all the days of my life. Increase my faith in the sweet promises of the gospel; give me repentance from dead works; pardon my wanderings, and direct my thoughts unto thyself, the God of my salvation; teach me how to live in thy fear, labor in thy service, and ever to run in the ways of thy commandments; make me always watchful over my heart, that neither the terrors of conscience, the loathing of holy duties, the love of sin, nor an unwillingness to depart this life, may cast me into a spiritual slumber, but daily frame me more and more into the likeness of thy son Jesus Christ, that living in thy fear, and dying in thy favor, I may in thy appointed time attain the resurrection of the just unto eternal life. Bless my family, friends and kindred unite us all in praising and glorifying thee in all our works begun, continued, and ended, when we shall come to make our last account before thee blessed Saviour…
(From William J. Johnson, George Washington, the Christian (New York: The Abingdon Press, New York & Cincinnati, 1919), pp. 24-35.)
No wonder America has been the wonder of the world for over 200 years, being founded by humble men like this who feared God. President Washington was a servant leader that was elected unaminously, having the hearts of the people...something which he didn't use for political aspirations; instead, something he humbly treasured.
How far we have regressed! Our modern tyrant in the White House, who has no time for even a formal National Day of Prayer (at least, if it's Christian...plenty of time for homos and Muslims), had to hire government funded thugs to dishonestly and illegally get him votes , spews blasphemy almost every time he opens his mouth, and has chosen to surround himself with czars who crank out volumous rules and regulations to force the people to bow to his agenda. (I might as well get it all off my chest while I still can.....)
I mourn for my nation, but I can still humbly beseech our Lord on my own behalf, that I might personally be found doing His will, and have my own heart and mind cleansed and focused heavenward. Thank God for this wonderful example set for us all by our first President.

How much does a life cost?
How Premature Is Too Early To Live For A Baby? - ABC News
Whether or not the child may or may not have survived if given treatment is not the issue. The point is that when a coldhearted, atheist beurocracry is in charge of healthcare, "personhood" means nothing. It's cost and effect. Plain and simple.
Dr. Leon Kass said, "We are already witnessing the erosion of our idea of man as something splendid or divine, as a creature with freedom and dignity. And clearly, if we come to see ourselves as meat, then meat we shall become."
Should we expect anything else from the man described below????

Sweet Happy Girl
Rosebud finally got to sit at the table with everyone (instead of in her high chair), and she was just thrilled and so happy. She loves my rooster tablecloth (calls it "bach bach"). You can see a bruise on her head, where she just fell a few minutes before this; at which everyone in the house of course went running to pet her. She is spoiled rotten by her brothers and sister, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Never Let a Serious Crisis Go To Waste
Dr. Mercola's Swine Flu Website
I've long feared that this"emergency" would be the door for this oppressive adminsitration to declare a police state in our once free nation. Once that happens, there's no turning back. I feared it would either be this swine flu nonsense, or else a terrorist attack, which Obama has literally begged for by his shameful criticism of our nation abroad and by his feminization and cuts in the military. Whatever the crisis may be (swine flu, terror attack, or some other drama), rest assured that his hand will come down heavy in every area of our lives. And, like his freakish Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has said....
"NEVER LET A SERIOUS CRISIS GO TO WASTE"
Stand up for your right to refuse the toxic swine flu shot!
And don't forget to get your daily dose of Vitamin D, Vitamin C, and probiotics.

Ranch Chalupas
RANCH CHALUPAS
1 8-oz. cup sour cream
4 tsp. ranch salad dressing mix
1 tsp. lime juice
Mix and refrigerate until ready to use
2 lbs. ground beef
1 15-oz. can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 10-oz. can Ro-Tel tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. cilantro (optional, but I love cilantro!)
1/4 c. (or 1 envelope) taco seasoning
Brown meat; drain. Then add beans, tomatoes, and seasoning and heat through.
Preferred toppings such as lettuce, shredded cheese, onions or green onions, sliced ripe olives
2 16.3-oz. large tubes of buttermilk refrigerated biscuits (8-count each)
After sour cream, meat, and toppings are prepared, heat skillet on medium to high heat. Roll out biscuits into 6-inch circles and cook over medium heat about 60 seconds on each side or until brown; keep warm. (dry skillet, no oil)
Spread each bread piece with 1 Tbsp. ranch sour cream, about 1/3 c. meat mixture, then sprinkle with desired toppings. Roll up taco style to eat.

I Was Glad
"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord"
Psalm 122:1
I remember hearing Bro. Lawrence Garrett preach once when he said that there's no prettier picture that could ever be painted than that of a Mama and a Daddy walking hand in hand with their children into the church house. I love to take Sunday morning pictures of my crew all dressed up. These are precious days.

Liar Liar Pants on Fire?
For a man who campaigned on the promise of having a completely "transparent" administration, there's an awful lot of clandestine planning going on! And pretty soon, our elected Congress will be obselete. Even Nanna Pelosi and Papa Reid won't mean anything once Obama completes his handover of our national sovereignty to the U.N. We'll be at the mercy of whatever agreements he and his hand-picked thugs make with the global government.
So it should be no surprise to us that he now will protect his "czars" from testifying before Congress (read below):
CNSNews.com - White House to Keep Obama’s ‘Czars’ from Testifying Before Congress
What I want to know is, when is he going to appoint the "Liar Liar Pants on Fire" Czar? We might could actually use one of them!

Blest Be the Tie that Binds
Before our Father’s throne ...We pour our ardent prayers;
We share each other’s woes, Our mutual burdens bear;
When we asunder part,... It gives us inward pain;
This glorious hope revives... Our courage by the way;
From sorrow, toil and pain ,...And sin, we shall be free,

Takes One to Love One
If you are under any hopeful delusion that things aren't quite as bad in our nation as people like me are bemoaning, ...then now's the time to grab your barf bag and suffer through this 25+ minute clip of our shameful leader bowing down to the sodomite looneys of the world (a.k.a. "LGBT community"). If you can stomach it to the end, you'll notice that after the President promises to continue to "change the minds" of "people with outworn ideas" like ME (yet, another lie from Obama....I'll NEVER sympathize with those unnatural perverts), you'll be shocked to see that he has the audactity to end his speech with "God bless you, and God bless America"!

Attack is the Best Form of Defense
ROTFL!
I believe in the Biblical rod, and only the rod, for direct rebellion when it comes to childrearing. But in matters of training, I have been known to be a little unconventional. My kids live in fear of what I'm going to dream up next to curb their childish, annoying habits. They'll be terrified that I've seen this commercial.....he he he!

Pre-Pre-K
Haven't had much time for blogging since our school year kicked off full swing. We've added Bubbie into our schedule this year (MY idea, NOT his!), and that means I'm pretty much needed every hour of the day. For our curriculum this year, we are studying:
Teaching Textbooks for Math (Caleb and Madelyn)
Singapore Math (Seth and Jared)
Ordinary Parents Guide to Teaching Reading (Seth)
Apologia Young Explorers Series: Exploring Creation with Zoology 2
The Mystery of History
U.S. Presidents and States
Christian Liberty Press Spelling and Phonics
First Language Lessons
Story Starters
Bible Story Guide for All Ages
21 Rules of Our House (the boys)
(whew! I'm pooped just typing all that!)
On average around here, we get a new P.E. curriculum about every 2-3 years. It isn't your average regimen, I'm sure, but please believe me when I say it keeps you hopping! This year, for our phys ed, we are studying:
"Rosebud"
Trust me, you do the equivalent of 100 toe touches per day, lots of jumping and lifting, a little touch football, and you could certainly never become a couch potato with a little sprite like this flittering around stirring mischief all day long! LOL
Seriously, everyone always asks me what I do with the baby when we school. The answer is, nothing. She just joins in (more like "crashes" in), but she's gradually learning to respect their books and supplies, and respect our time. The house is quiet and without distractions during school, and she can tell that everyone else is calm. It can certainly be tough some days, but she's beginning to get her books or toys and sit quietly playing while we work. Regular routine is a valuable training tool for children!
And, as you can see from this picture, I seriously doubt if she'll ever lack for help with HER lessons. (and I have no idea whose foot that is...or why Seth is holding it)

CHILL OUT!
75 Percent of Oklahoma Students Can't Name the First President - News9.com - Oklahoma City, OK - News, Weather, Video and Sports
And whenever I get nervous about measuring up (which, honestly, is not often...I have total peace about homeschooling), I just think of what all my children are NOT learning:
they don't know curse words
they don't know perverted jokes
they are so innocent that it's almost funny in this twisted world in which we live
they don't sympathize with sodomites
they don't know evolution (actually they do, but I had to teach them, and I took advantage of my God-ordained privilege and responsibility to teach them that it was a lie out of hell)
they don't know that their brothers and sisters are not cool
they don't know that they're supposed to disrespect and sneak around their elders
they don't know worldly music and they don't know that they're supposed to idolize "cute" boys and girls from movies and TV shows
they don't know how to chant praises to Obama
the list could go on and on.......
So there may be a few important things that we actually do miss in education, but it's an okay trade for all the sinful things they're missing that could turn their tender hearts away from God.
Thank the Lord for the privilege to homeschool!

Poor thing!
Seth has not put this frog down for 2 days, except to go to bed (and he tried to pull one over on me there!)
And just for the record, he does have better pants to wear. He had a bike wreck and tore those he has on in the pic.

Know, No, Go
I hope you enjoy this message by Bro. Roloff. It's called "Know, No, Go", and it was a great encouragement to me. The one thing that always draws me back to Bro. Roloff's messages, is the love for sinners that you can so strongly hear and feel in his voice. How I need that kind of compassion! Our hope is not in America, and certainly not in Obama (though many actually pray to him, believe it or not!) , our only hope is in Christ Jesus, Who is soon returning. Preachers, preach while there's still time!
Enjoy:

September
When we discovered that the Gatlinburg Aquarium gives free tickets during the month of your birthday, we jumped on that. The boys decided that instead of a party, they'd rather the whole family take a little trip, and we had so much fun.
Here are a few pictures from this month:
Do you think Seth is excited? This bike was from Gran and Poppie
Audrey's dilema....
My sisters and Nana surprised the boys with birthday cakes during our monthly family fellowship (my sister Keri made that cool edible gun)
...and this cool edible frog
It's been a busy month, but a fun one. I'm so thankful to the Lord for my boys, and it's such a joy to watch them grow into little men.Thursday, September 24, 2009
The Suitable Helper
Nine: A gracious wife accepts his love, however offered. Husbands are not all poets and romantics. They may work hard, be loyal, faithful, helpful, but have a problem saying the words she longs to hear. Love can be unspoken and just as real. Accept it.
Ten: Most important of all, the wise woman attends to her inner beauty because "Favor is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who feareth the Lord will be praised," Proverbs 31:30 tells us. Those many virtues listed throughout chapter 31 add up to a zero if her relationship with the Lord is not the priority. So--number ten is really number one.

The Real Trouble
The Trouble With "Sustainable Development"
Brannon Howse and Glenn Beck have been bringing these issues into the light for several months now (I listen to Brannon's broadcast daily free on iTunes.), and of course Ron Paul has been warning Americans for years on these issues.

It Ain't No Mo'!
Now, in the new Amerika, when a so-called "heckler" calls out the Commandant in public, it draws cries of censure!
I keep hearing all these remarks like, "Well, that wasn't the time or the place..." Two things need to be pointed out: First of all, President Bush was booed only for having a disagreeable position , and it was DURING HIS CONSTITUTIONALLY APPROPRIATED annual State of the Union Address; whereas, Congressman Wilson was setting the record straight for Americans (since this would be their only chance to hear it on ABC, NBC, or CBS, MSNBC, or CNN) during what could easily be considered an abuse of power by the President in calling an emergency joint session of Congress for no other reason than to promote his own personal politics. I'm sure all the democrats were glad to get back to Congress and away from the town hall meetings, but no doubt Congressman Wilson had other things he'd rather be doing. I applaud his courage!
Our beloved country might be changing, but there are enough red, white, and blue Americans who will not "go gently into that good night".
(this one is so great!)

I pledge.......
So, I pledge to never take advice from a celebrity whose only qualification is that he/she happened to be in the right place at the right time, is possibly attractive by the world's lust-filled standards, and is willing to disrobe and use profanity in front of an audience.
And might I just make a teensie, weensie little minor point? If they'd quit showing videos and start reading history in public school, perhaps that cute little Ashton fellow would have learned that the people don't serve the government (that's called serfdom)...the GOVERNMENT SERVES THE PEOPLE! (that's called a Constitutional Republic, dude!)
The First Papa
Today, millions of well-meaning but misguided Christians will dress their little children up for school and send them off to get all starry-eyed by their great Commander in Chief. (Now, just for the record, OBAMA AIN'T COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE CHILDREN, OR FOR THAT MATTER THE CITIZENS! I'm so sick of hearing ignorant people spew out that excuse for allowing him to indoctrinate our school children! Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of that old-timey paper we used to live by states that our elected President is Commander in Chief of the armed forces! Duh!).
Now, it's no secret that I don't like Obama. But let's just get this straight. I would be outraged if this were Ronald Reagan or even George Washington himself! (Of course that would NEVER happen, as our first president had a much narrower and humbler view of the president's role.) Children are sacred ground when it comes to politics. Leave them out of it. And EVEN THOUGH Obama's speech will not be about political issues (at least NOW it won't, after all the controversy), the point is that he wants their hearts. HE MUST HAVE THEIR HEARTS. He doesn't love them; he needs them.
By allowing him access to our kids, there will be much more said and taught to them other than the content of his speech. (Please read "My Little Comrades" at the American Thinker website!) They will inadvertantly be taught to pledge allegiance, not to our flag and country, but to a man. To his worldview. To his ideals. To his agenda.
PEOPLE, WAKE UP! And don't give me that poppycock about "respecting the office" and that the Bible says to pray for our leaders. Yep. That means that I'm not going to take a gun and shoot him. And believe me when I say I HAVE prayed for him...that the Lord would have mercy on our country and let him fail in his radical agenda. Said and done. But the Bible also says that we ought to obey God rather than man, and to imply that Christians should submit their children to the direct influence of a baby-killing, sodomite-loving, Bible-mocking, truth-despising usurper just shows the desperate dumbing down of today's impotent church.
The sad truth is, that it is kind of hypocritical for parents to get all huffy and puffy about this particular day and Obama's speech, when the truth is that they allow their children to be re-educated with Marxist propaganda every day that they load them up on that big yellow bus.
Read "Great Leader Obama Coming to a School Near You".
I do quite realize that there are hard-working school teachers that will be greatly offended by what I just said, but I stand by my words 100%. It doesn't matter how sweet one teacher is, the whole system is corrupt. The textbooks are corrupt. Phonics has been replaced by post-modernistic "whole language". Economics is shallow and misleading. History is revised and re-written and selectively presented. Science is full of lies and heresy. Math and Language are overshadowed by ridiculous subjects being taught in high school now like "Psychology" and "Sociology". The goal of well-rounded learning has been replaced by nationalized test-taking and aptitude tests, both to rake in federal money and to raise good little proletarian robots for the service of the state. Teachers, themselves, have their hands tied by that great, corrupt, political machine called the N.E.A.
Yeah, I'm mad. And I know a lot of other people are too, but not enough people! It's one thing to live under tyranny. But to despise the miracle of freedom that God granted the United States of America, and to carelessly toss it aside....it's just INEXCUSABLE! It reminds me of I Samuel, when the people demanded a king for Israel. Even though God had warned them that a king would demand their sons and their daughters and their fields and their possessions (I Samuel 8:11-18), they ignorantly said, "...Nay; but we will have a king over us; That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles" (I Sam. 8:19, 20) The Lord told a broken-hearted Samuel to give them what they asked for because "they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected Me" (I Sam. 8:7)
And so it is with America. The light will go out. All the nations that have admired us and dreamed of coming to our nation for so long....will now have nothing to look forward to. We will be like them.
Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Swine Flu
Cops jump on swine-flu power: Shots heard 'round the world'
Remember, tyrants love a crisis; in fact, they must have crises so they can come in and save the day and restore order......at the expense of YOUR FREEDOM! They invent crises just for this purpose.
Do you think I'm taking a souped-up concoction that hasn't been thoroughly tested, that's been hastily ordered up by environmental wacko czars who believe in population control and forced sterilization, and a "president" who believes the best way to cut health care costs is to eliminate the patients? COUNT ME OUT!
If you really want to educate yourself and filter through all the hype, this video below provides a wonderfully balanced view from medical professionals. It's worth your time!
Watch CBS Videos Online
And don't forget that God gave YOU sense enough to take your own precautions and draw your own conclusions based on your own research and study. As for me and my family, we try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet that would prepare our bodies to endure the flu and other communicable diseases. Here are some of my best suggestions: (I'm not going to list all the WHYs, just do your own research if you're not sure! Your brain is the same size as your doctor's!)
1. We all take probiotics and vitamin c daily.
2. We never walk in the door from any trip that we don't all immediately go and wash our hands with soap (NOT antibacterial!)
3. No soft drinks, or high fructose corn syrup as much as we can avoid it.
4. Sunshine! Not only does it kill germs, it is the best source of immune-boosting vitamin D.
5. Avoid doctor's offices and hospitals as much as possible. There's no better place to catch swine flu.
And I've just stocked up my winter medicine cabinet with the following: grapefruit seed extract (pills and liquid concentrate), zinc, extra vitamin c including emergen-c packets, garlic capsules and fresh cloves, colloidal silver, and eucalyptus oil.
I'm so thankful for doctors. Truly, I am. But clearly, thanks to government intervention (medicaid, medicare, peachcare, etc., etc.) and insurance corruption, it is easy to get lost in the beaurocracy of unnecessary tests and procedures and prescriptions...and end up worse off than when you arrived! Taking charge of your own health is the smart, and healthy, and fiscally responsible thing to do in these troubled times.
Omazing Grace
Moral of the Story: Never let a crackhead sing at your funeral.
