Look out!

Summer Rose has officially taken off!

She's been walking for a couple of weeks now, so she is really gaining confidence and getting into everything that she couldn't reach before.

Here she is tending to her little baby. Looks at those sweet curls!

You can't tell, but she is dancing to the baby's lullaby here.

I know all too well how quickly this precious stage passes, and even though I can't sit down for more than 5 seconds at a time, I'm not complaining....I'm going to soak in and enjoy every minute of this!

Parentalrights.org -- Obama Administration Pushes CRC Ratification

Attention all Patriots! Please take time to explore the link below and take immediate action on this dire situation. If you have time, you can read one of my previous posts concerning the CRC. This, in my opinion, is THE MOST URGENT threat that we as free Americans face at this moment....and believe me, I've passed over dozens of other urgent issues to say that, but I sincerely believe it.

Parentalrights.org -- Obama Administration Pushes CRC Ratification

Praise God that the lines to the White House and the Ambassador's office are completely jammed. However, you can still e-mail the White House directly, and ask for a response. Here is the complete content of my email:

"I am deeply concerned at the possibility that this Administration is going to push for U.S. ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). America is a great and caring nation, and we know quite well how to raise our own children. I am unequivocally opposed to relinquishing our national sovereignty in any way to the United Nations. I wholeheartedly disagree with comments made by U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, that it is a disgrace for the U.S. not to be a signer of this treaty. Rather, the disgrace would be for a great nation like the U.S. of America, to cave in to international pressure, and place our abundantly blessed children under the sovereignty and care of a foreign, cold, uncaring international beaurocracy that has no vested interest in them. Don't insult the loving, hardworking parents of America any further, and please immediately stop all efforts to ratify this treaty."

Citizens, act today!

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Summer Rose

Has it possibly been a year since I gave birth to this precious baby?

Words cannot even express what Summer has meant to me....not just me as a mother, but to me as a person. Yes, she is the apple of everyone's eye in our house, but we've always loved our babies around here. We have no favorites. But, at the time the Lord sent Rosebud our way, I was about as low as I've ever been in my life. Disappointments, betrayals, failures, tears, pain. I had a very difficult and miserable pregnancy. I couldn't lie down. I would sit straight up all night, dozing occasionally, but mostly just crying and hurting, physically and emotionally. I can't explain what a comfort it was to me to feel my baby moving. I knew she was fresh from heaven, having just recently received the breath of life from the Creator Himself, and it gave me a peace that can only come from Above. I can tell you that I received a healing when she was born, but what that truly means is just something personal between me and my Savior. Since words are inadequate, all I can say is "Thank you, Jesus," and I hope you can find that kind of peace with the Lord in your life too.

The Ushers

Our church is blessed with two fine young men who serve as the ushers. The one on the right just happens to be my son, and the other is his sweet friend, Trevor. For weeks I've been meaning to get a picture of them in their suits, and I finally remembered to do it last night! Of course I'm partial and happen to think they're a pretty handsome pair! But most importantly, they love the Lord, and they love their families and their church.

Here they are at age 7:

And here they are with their dads going coon hunting:

We are so blessed at BBC with our young people. We don't have youth groups or youth classes, or anything that encourages our children to think they are separate from the adults at church. They are vital to us, and we want them to know that. We don't have a regular piano player, but we have 5 piano students (as well as a guitar student and a mandolin student!), and between them, they pool their singing and playing talents and provide a much needed musical addition to each service. Last night, the older girls sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" as Macey played, and it just gave me chills. I'm so proud of them, not just because of their talent, but because they know the Lord about Whom they are singing! Praise God!

Hitler's Cross Book Review

I just finished a very scary book. Hitler's Cross by Dr. Erwin Lutzer (senior pastor at Moody Church in Chicago) was first published in 1995, well before Barack Obama arrived upon the national scene. It was not written with Obama in mind; however, the parallels between Hitler's absolute rule over the Fatherland, and the messianic worship of Obama simply cannot be denied.

Hitler, early in his career, published Mein Kampf ("My Struggle"). Obama, of course published the story of his "struggle", The Audacity of Hope.

Hitler had complete and absolute control of the news media. He had complete control of the thoughts and minds of the people. (Those who weren't zombies of the state were killed or persecuted. )Much reminiscent of Newspeak in Orwell's 1984, Hitler created his own self-serving state language, which replaced Jesus with Hitler as Savior, and declared certain groups of people "non-human". Today, we not only think of the Supreme Court declaring the pre-born child "non-human" , but we can clearly see cultural marxism (i.e., "political correctness") being shoved down our throats in the form of Hate Crimes legislation. Just as Hitler silenced any opposition in his day, so now Christians who dare to speak out against abortion, sodomites, or the tyranny of the Nanny State, are feeling the heat.

Just as Hitler re-wrote German history to remove its Jewish contributions, so our textbooks are filled with revisionism that removes all Christian influence from the founding of our nation.

Just as Hitler was a firm believer in evolution, so this baseless theory is presented as fact in every school district and science textbook in the United States.

Hitler had his own army of enforcers that answered only to him, the Brown Shirts. Now we see that Obama is cooking up his own plan to indoctrinate our young men and women and raise up a para-military (and might I say, para-Constitutional) civilian army that answers only to him.

And, as you can see in this eerie video below, all tyrants must have the hearts and minds of their youth:

Now, I am very interested in politics and history, as you can tell by my blog. But, even with those that I admire most (President Ronald Reagan, for example), I have never felt the need to sing about them, especially not to indoctrinate my kids into thinking that any one man can "change the world" and bring "happiness". This is just spooky!

One of the saddest realizations I got from reading Hitler's Cross, is that the problem of atheistic government and tyranny did not actually begin in the halls of legislators. It began in the church. Germany had long been a gathering place for liberal theologians who questioned the inerrancy of Scripture and cast doubt on the Word of God. By the time Hitler arrived on the scene, the "Christians" of Germany were just token church-goers, with no foundation upon which to stand. I fear for my country, when I consider how our churches today have forsaken the perfectly preserved inspired Word of God for perverted translations. This has opened the door for today's hip social gospel, the kind that would invite an unregenerate, pro-abortion, sodomite-loving politician to share the pulpit. God have mercy on America!

It AIN'T holy!

I join with many other Americans in expressing my absolute outrage at President B. Hussein Obama traveling the globe, re-writing history, courting Islamic infidels, insulting the nation of Israel, and apologizing for our sovereign nation having the nerve to defend itself. The link I've provided is the full text of his Cairo speech....the speech in which he claims to be a Christian, and calls the Koran the "Holy Koran" is the same paragraph. No blood-bought child of God would call a book "holy" which denies the deity of Christ. "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ, that denieth the Father and the Son." I John 2:22 And for all you people out there (i.e., Rick Warren, etc.) who are praying blessings on B.O. and his administration, Holy Scripture (the King James Bible, not the Koran) tells us this, "If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine [that is, the deity of Christ], receive him not in your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." II John 10,11 I join with World Net Daily's Joseph Farah (incidently, a born-again Christian of Arab descent) who is praying that Obama fails! We can only cry "God have mercy" if and when he succeeds!

B.O. is claiming to be a student of history, and claiming that we as a civilized world owe a debt to Islam. Now I'm really struggling to figure out how a nation that sends more aid and missionaries out than any other nation, gave the world the car, the airplane, the telegraph, the telephone, the light bulb, vaccinations, advanced medicine, and the example of a functioning 222 year old Constitutional Republic....owes anything to a culture that has only conquered through the sword and the machete, straps bombs to women and arms 10-year-olds with machine guns, destroys every nation it conquers, and still lives by an overwhelming majority in squalor and filth, and has yet to discover the glorious invention of deodorant! You can go back to Indonesia; I'm staying here with my baseball and apple pie, and my God of the Bible that has inspired and blessed this great nation.

Incidently, for the price of a Venti Frappucino, you can (and should!), go to Wallbuilders and download the excellent presentation by historian David Barton about the truth of Islam and America. It also tells the complete story of Thomas Jefferson and his copy of the Koran. Much hype has been made, by B.O. and many others, over this Koran on which Rep. Keith Ellison took his oath of office. I'm sure you'll be shocked to discover, however, that the whole story is NOT being told. "A Spiritual and Historical Perspective on America's War on Terror" is the best $5.95 you'll spend today, and every American should hear this!

ACLU threatens, students still recite prayer (OneNewsNow.com)

This brings to mind the scripture: "I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts." Psalm 119:99,100

Praise God for these brave young people!

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone,

but the little fellas are having a tea party.

Seth is asking me if I'm going to show anyone this picture. (I didn't exactly answer him.) He's a little concerned about his girlfriends from church seeing this picture. Bubbie is a little concerned about "Brudder Damie" seeing this, although he's convinced that if Brother Jamie had a chance to eat "peamuts" and chocolate chips, that he would - even if it was from a pink cup!

Quite an Industrious Bunch!

Okay, so I haven't exactly been very industrious with my blog lately, but I have been busy doing a lot of other things! These past two weeks, we've re-arranged the homeschool room with a new bookshelf, moved the boys in a new set of bunk beds, cleaned out closets, and now finally, removing the old "girlie" border from the room that the boys now occupy. Add that to making some changes and additions into our homeschool curriculum, and we really have been busy. Here's what we're doing today:

Sis

Bubbie picking up wallpaper border out of the floor

Seth making tea

Summer Rose helping put the DVDs away (sort of)

Squeezing 7 people into a 3 br house is a task that I have to constantly stay on top of, being the neat freak that I am. I can't stand clutter, and I must have a place for everything (and everything in its place!) Homeschooling, of course, adds greatly to our volume of "stuff" to maintain. Sometimes I feel like I spend as much time organizing and planning school as I do teaching it! As for the kids' bedrooms, Caleb had asked me about putting up a new border to replace this one. I explained that when I put up the bedroom borders, it was just him and Sis living with us, and that borders were kind of a luxury when you knew you were going to stay put for a while. In our family, we occasionaly have to make changes to accomodate babies and brothers and sisters, etc. He decided that wasn't so bad, since you can't play with or talk to a border. I thought that was a pretty amazing perspective for an 11-year-old boy.

Gotta go, there's work to be done!

Dr. Tiller Meets His Maker

Here is the eulogy on an abortion directory website:

Today we mourn one of the nation's most visible and strident advocates for abortion rights. Tragically, Dr. George Tiller's life was taken as he served as an usher during morning services at his church by a cowardly assassin. He dedicated his life to providing women with high-quality heathcare despite frequent threats and violent attacks on him and his clinic.Dr. Tiller will forever be remembered for his valiant efforts in women's reproductive rights for over 2 decades. And, for all those who had the good fortune to meet him, will always remember him as a kind-hearted, soft spoken gentle man with a heart full of compassion and bravery. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loving wife, children and grandchildren.George you will forever remain in our hearts!

Compassion? Inserting scissors into a live baby's neck and suctioning out her brains until she stops moving?

Bravery? Assaulting the smallest and most defenseless among us?

I wish I could provide you with the link to Dr. Tiller's website, but it has been shut down since his shooting. I have been following this monster for years, and it was his brutality that really got me charged up and anxious to actually do something instead of just complain about abortion. Abortion itself, in any form or any gestational stage, is vicious enough, but Dr. Tiller brought it to new heights (talk about someone who "deviseth wicked imaginations" Prov. 6:16-19)! I'm sure you've read in the news how he performed only late term abortions, past 26 weeks gestation. Dr. Tiller pursued after those who'd been given a adverse diagnosis for their babies, for example, a diagnosis of down syndrome. (Which, by the way, is why I don't support the March of Dimes...killing the patient isn't exactly the same as curing the disease! More than research, they advocate prenatal screening, and more than 90% of couples who receive a possible down syndrome diagnosis for their child, will abort. Not exactly the ethical way to wipe out down syndrome!) As a part of the abortion process, Dr. Tiller had an apostate "minister" to actually come in and baptize the dead infants, give them a certificate of baptism, and even photograph the infants in pink or blue if the parents so desired. I've seen some of these pictures, and it is one of the most wicked and bizarre sights you could ever see. Dr. Tiller is in hell now, and one has to wonder if he still considers himself a champion of women's healthcare.

There will be, and already has been, much negative publicity for the pro-life movement because of the shooting of Dr. Tiller. I have been involved in pro-life work for many years now, and I have never associated with or personally come in contact with anyone who would even remotely approve of or promote killing an abortion provider. The shooter is in no way representative of those who fight against abortion; however, we all no doubt will be blamed and labeled as fanatics, thanks to this one man's crime. Scott Roeder (the suspect in custody), if he in fact is the shooter, has done nothing but harm pro-life America. Breaking God's laws is never the answer.

When you have time, please click on the link below and read this wonderful article by Doug Phillips of Vision Forum. It is a distinctly Biblical perspective on the entire spectrum of issues that surround this event.

George Tiller is Dead: For Whom Shall We Mourn? by Doug Phillips

Also, for another bone-chilling reminder of how God can and will judge whom He will, you MUST read this link! God does not need his created beings to become murderers to carry out justice.
