It Ain't No Mo'!

Well, we're here. The inmates are running the asylum. Not only are they in charge, but they have badges to prove it! Welcome to the U.S.S.A.
While I do totally believe that Officer Cheeks is a complete disgrace to his badge and oath of office, um...he may have a point. In the old U.S.A., it was considered free speech to boo a sitting President:

Now, in the new Amerika, when a so-called "heckler" calls out the Commandant in public, it draws cries of censure!

I keep hearing all these remarks like, "Well, that wasn't the time or the place..." Two things need to be pointed out: First of all, President Bush was booed only for having a disagreeable position , and it was DURING HIS CONSTITUTIONALLY APPROPRIATED annual State of the Union Address; whereas, Congressman Wilson was setting the record straight for Americans (since this would be their only chance to hear it on ABC, NBC, or CBS, MSNBC, or CNN) during what could easily be considered an abuse of power by the President in calling an emergency joint session of Congress for no other reason than to promote his own personal politics. I'm sure all the democrats were glad to get back to Congress and away from the town hall meetings, but no doubt Congressman Wilson had other things he'd rather be doing. I applaud his courage!

Our beloved country might be changing, but there are enough red, white, and blue Americans who will not "go gently into that good night".

(this one is so great!)
